ATTICA, Ind. (CNS) - Mrs. Alma F. Otterman, 80, formerly of Attica Route 2, who had been a resident for the past three years at Edgewood View Nursing Home in Oxford, died at 8:40 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 1, 1975) at Home Hospital in Lafayette. She was admitted earlier and had been ill for several years. Born Dec. 31, 1894, in Davis Township near Attica, she was the daughter of Marion and Elizabeth Hysong Funk. On Dec. 23, 1919, in Danville, Ill., she was married to Harry J. Otterman, who died Dec. 22, 1961. She had resided on Attica Route 2 for about 32 years and resided at Judyville for about 10 years prior to moving to the nursing home. Mrs. Otterman was a housewife and had attended the Methodist Church. She was a charter member of Davis Township Home Demonstration Club and Quigle-Palin American Legion Post Auxiliary of Newtown. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Elizabeth) Hensley of Judyville; two sisters, Mrs. Clifford (Amy) Pogue of Newtown and Mrs. Bessie Faye of Waynetown; three brothers, Ed Funk of West Point, Orville Funk of Carmel and Lewis Funk of Hillsboro; a grandchild and a great-grandchild. Friends will be received after 4 p.m. EST Friday at the Dale Maus Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Saturday in the Dale Maus Chapel, with the Rev. Everett White officiating. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery east of Attica. = waw

Alma F. (Funk) Otterman, 80, formerly of Rt. 2, Attica, died 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1, at Home Hospital, Lafayette, where she had been admitted earlier. She had been in failing health for several years and had resided at Edge Wood View Nursing Home in Oxford the past three years.

She was born in Davis Township Dec. 31, 1894, the daughter of Marion and Elizabeth Hyson Funk. She resided at Rt. 2, Attica about 32 years and at Judyville for ten years prior to going to the nursing home. She was married Dec. 23, 1919, in Danville, Ill., to Harry J. Otterman, who preceded her in death Dec. 22, 1961. She was a housewife and had attended the Methodist Church. She was a charter member of the Davis Township Home Demonstration Club and Quigle-Palin American Legion Auxiliary at Newtown.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Elizabeth) Hensley, Judyville; two sisters, Mrs. Clifford (Amy) Pogue, Newtown, and Mrs. Bessie Faye, Waynetown; three brothers, Ed Funk, West Point, Orville Funk, Carmel; Lewis Funk, Hillsboro; one granddaughter and one great grandson.

Funeral services were held at the Dale Maus Funeral Chapel in Attica at 2 p.m. January 4 with Rev. Everett White officiating. Burial was at the Salem Cemetery east of Attica. – thanks so very much to S – one fab typist !
